Christmas is rapidly approaching. We are still without our RV to call home, bouncing between family and AirBNBs. Still wondering how we will pull together a magical Christmas for our girls, but knowing it will all come together one way or another. To stay grounded and peaceful I am making sure to truly walk my walk lately… in other words doing as many of the things I tell clients to do when they are stressed and looking for some peace.
It’s in these weeks that I most need to take time to stay grounded and peaceful within myself to show up the best each day…
Here are the grounding practices I will keep in my routine this week:
-Connecting to a 4-7-8 breath a few times a day- this is an easy to remember breath with a 4 count inhale, 7 count hold, 8 count exhale Repeat 3-5x as needed for sense of calm and grounding
-Taking a 10-20min morning walk, alone, while my girls get to watch TV.
-Jotting down a daily gratitude
-Playing outside with my girls each day
-BONUS- this can be hard this time of year… but I continue to try to ground- bare feet to earth- each day.
How do you stay grounded when the week is looking and feeling super stressful…? Could you also adopt a little grounding ritual each day to help you along the way?
Sending Hugs,
Hilary
